STUDENT PORTAL LOGIN
What is school pathways?
Hume Lake Charter School uses a website to assist us in keeping records of school attendance as well as assignments and grades, this website/company is School Pathways (also known as SPiS). School Pathways also gives students and parents the opportunity to access the information that pertains to the student’s individual classes/school work, if you so desire, through a student portal.
Specific information is needed in order for you and your student to access the Student Portal and view attendance records and assignments by individual class. This information has been sent to current students by an email from School Pathways. If you have not received this information please contact Jen Nelson at the HLCS office. Please be reminded that the password and user information sent to you is CONFIDENTIAL and should not be shared with any other student, as it will give others access to grades and classwork information.
The teaching staff strives to have class grades updated approximately every two weeks. If you do not see specific work, give the teacher a few days to update the information. After this point, if you are still concerned about missing assignments feel free to contact your student’s teacher.
Once you/your student logs in you will be prompted to change your password. After you have changed your password you can then access SpSIS. Please pass the login information on to your student.
How Do I use it?
Step 1
Click on the Link to the School Pathways Portal
Step 2
Type in login and password information from your email. School should be entered as “humelake” (all lower case with no spaces)
Step 3
If this is your first time logging in you will be prompted to change your password, be sure that both parent and student know the new password information.
Step 4
Navigate through the website. You will have a lot of options to choose from, you can use the tabs on the top of the page or the picture icons. When checking grades or assignments be sure to choose a specific class, semester, quarter, etc. from the drop down tabs in order to see the correct information.
